Free 500MB Rollover Mobile Data with $5+ Credit Top up @ Warehouse Mobile

160

Got sent a message a few weeks ago saying I could get a free 500Mb of data with any credit top up (minimum is $5)

I topped up mine and after half an hour got the data.
Also topped up my mum (didn’t get message but still got 500MB) which means probably isn’t targeted.

500Mb pack costs $4 usually

8 cents per MB of data if you are using credit. Also costs 8 cents for texts or 1 min of calls

  • hi, topped up on 9/06/2022. If no text msg, how to check if there is free data loaded? nothing shown on dashboard

    • Got sent the message on 17 of June. You may have topped up before the promo started

  • Topped up today to test this as I thought the occasional sweetener offer I receive by text would have been targeted.

anyway it worked, after about 30 mins later extra 500mb shows up.

  • Hi OP thanks for the share. So is Jul24 the actual expiry date, based on your text message?

    • +1

Yes it said any top up until 24th of July

  • Data rolls over for a year instead of 3 months now, so might as well stock up now

    • +2

Yeah credit lasts for a year too

only for the 3 combos "Unused carryover data can be carried over for up to 365 days with active Product.".

On the pick and go still 90 days "At the end of 31 days any unused data can roll over for up to 90 days, Just purchase another data pack prior to expiry." "Talk packs do not roll over."
i dont think there is a grace period

this is what made me switch back to 2degrees being caught out on that but For $2 more you can have double what 2degrees $10 plan provides.

Best option right now is buying a $1 Spark SIM and $1 WM SIM and transferring # to WM
Deposit $5 on WM and get the 5GB data credit when you buy your first plan or pack($4)
~$7 for 5.5GB or if you want to keep that 5GB as rollover you buy a $4 pack every 31 days or sooner

    • Thanks for good idea, but I think they cancelled my number transfer request because my Spark sim had insufficient credit to text them back 'Yes'. Any link or tip for $1 Spark sims that come with a bit of bonus starter credit?

Never knew that was a requirement, not sure off the top of my head sorry. When I did it years ago never had a message that I recall.

Theres also Spark SIMs @ PBTech for $5 that have 1.5GB Data that should stay valid for atleast a year after purchase(if unactivated)

Max order 3, can do free shipping with code FREESHIP on orders over $20 or click and collect instore.

        • Yes, just for others interested, the text came to me from the Telecommunications Forum. They allow a two-hour window to get a 'Yes' back to them, and that must come from the number you're trying to switch.

@Wagner: Interesting that it's not zero rated to reply across all platforms..

            • +1

@Dunno: Thanks very much Dunno, I believe you're right and it is zero rated across all platforms. I think it may've just been my impatience during the *333 'activate this sim' call, and I'm all good now.

  • didn't get the promo text, but topped up $5 today, just a few minutes, the bonus 500MB showed up in the app. data expires in one year from added onto account, just need to buy/renew data pack or combo every 31 days to keep it roll over.
