I stumbled by this site that offers the services for free, and it's a gem.

check it out, I'm surprised to find such a thing! most of them have to charge heaps.

Looks interesting.

I would always be a bit concerned that the free version becomes unusable or even disappears in the not too distant future (even the whole thing disappearing if it is not successful), so I would ensure that all your data can be regularly exported in a usable format, but that is a generic concern, and nothing specific to these guys.

I really hope they do well for themselves and by their users.

I personally recommend using the app called Wallet. Not sure if it's on iOS, but it's on Android and there's a web version too. I paid like $20 for lifetime premium and it can link to NZ banks. You can create automatic rules to tag transactions with categories or labels. For example, my mortgage repayments are automatically tagged with the category "House" and with the label "Mortgage repayments", so I can easily filter on all the expenses related to that category or that label. I can see where all my spend is going to in different charts and graphs. Super handy.
