Food processor recommendations

Hi all, I'm in the market to buy a food processor.

I've done some looking around and am planning to buy the Kmart 2L model due to a lot of good reviews online.

I WOULD love the 14 cup Cuisinart since it seems like all the reviews and top tens praise that classic beast above everything else. but alas I don’t think it's available here.

Is there a cheapie recommendation? I'd love to read about some good options out there.

will use it to make food prep faster since I'm cooking most meals. so slicing, grating, chopping. maybe occasionally will use on doughs or batters. will not be making nut butters or grinding for flour or coffee.

Thanks all!

  • depending on the size of your family. For us (family of 4, 2 kids under 3), this one is enough: https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/p/panasonic-stick-hand-blender… and have the breville mini wizz for spices/garlic.

I got the panasonic one on special for $54 at the time and seemed good.

    • Oh yeah we bought the panasonic one as well. We'll be using it for baby food. :) The main reason for the food processor is quickly slicing and grating veggies. It took me 45 mins to grate 3 pcs of choko manually. Particularly because I'm a bit paranoid about grating myself haha.

      • Ah fair enough. We rarely grate veggies so haven't tried food processor for grating. I suspect the panasonic one is good enough to chop veggies although it might be too small :p? Otherwise perhaps those manual slicer might be good enough?
        Something like this:https://themarket.com/nz/p/vegetable-slicer/4969-AA1CMN301 ?
