Yep but good to have alternative options. I had a KeepSolid account prior to jumping on a Nord 2 year plan.

I don't use a VPN very often and currently have a lifetime sub to FastestVPN (which is anything but…hence why it was cheap!).

Tested with VPN on, 0.77 mbps download.
Turned it off, 55.4mbps

where are you tunneling through?
you got to remember your connection speed means little when you are running through another server in another country and limited by the thru put they have.
also your "extended trial" account is most likely speed limited as it's free.

If it's free, it's either a hook to get you to pay later on, or worse - your data is the product. Reminds me of Hola VPN.

If it's a trusted media service I just download the series or movie in full HD and play on their media player bbc etc.

For us Kiwi consumers, VPNs are typically used to bypass geo-restrictions for streaming content (e.g. BBC iPlayer, Netflix USA). But if you see the @Foodie post above it's too slow for streaming, although YMMV. Also note that many VPNs have their servers blacklisted by the streaming platforms.
I think @MyFriendAutism is talking about PeacockTV, a streaming app for NBCUniversal content.
VPN for data/ID security but at greatly reduced speeds. If you just want to watch overseas TV Australia, BBC etc… than go with the service DNS4ME. Only cost $57nz per year. No data/ID encryption but uses your full bandwidth, been a happy customer for 2yrs.

It doesnt go through and it doesnt say I have 1 year. Help
The app only caused problems for me. I turned on the kill switch, then closed it to get my normal IP back, assuming it would disable the kill switch. It didn't and I had no network connection. So I opened the app again to disable it. But the app now also had no internet connection to log back into the Keepsolid account. Without being logged in it could not connect to a VPN server and didn't show the settings to disable the kill switch. Only restarting my PC worked. At least I didn't pay anything for it.
Been a few reports of accounts being suspended (or the 1 year pass removed) because this code was only for Ukrainian folk. My bad if that happens to you. The OP over at HotUKDeals didn't mention that important detail.
this is a scam, data harvest. Works for a day then says expired. Downvote.

I haven't lost access to any Keepsolid services but I did try using them to sign up to Netflix through Turkey and Netflix kept throwing captchas at me and returning errors whenever I tried to redeem my gift card, whatismyipaddress.com showed the VPN was working and showed I was in Turkey but whatever I tried Netflix kept returning errors. Ended up using a free VPN for Chrome that had a Turkish server and it worked like a charm first time.
