Just received this email from Shore City -
"Spend $30 at New World Metro Shore City Takapuna and Get $20 Gift Card"

When you spend $30 at New World Metro Shore City, we'll give you a $20 gift card to spend at Shore City!

Get more from your basket when you get your groceries at New World Metro.

Available throughout March, 2022 or until $10,000 of gift cards have been issued.

Simply bring your original receipt to Customer Services to get your gift card. Please note that Customer Services is open standard Centre Hours so if we are not open, please pop back in.

• Please have your original receipt. This must total $30 or more in a single transaction.
• One card per customer per day (limited to 10 in total over promotion).
• Gift card is valid one day after the purchase at New World Metro Shore City.
• Promotion runs 1-31st March or until $10,000 of gift cards are issued, whichever comes first.
• The last day you can claim a gift card is 1st April for purchases made 31st March.

- The Promotional Period is from 7am Tuesday 1st March until 8pm Thursday 31st March or until
$10,000 of Shore City gift cards are issued.

• Customers must spend $30.00 or more in one transaction in-store at New World Metro Shore City
  during the promotional period to be eligible. Multiple receipts cannot be combined. Only one entry is
  valid per receipt.

• Customers can only redeem one gift card per day and not more than 10 in total over the entire
  promotion.

  Have a look at the New World website (and select the Shore City store) to see what they got. Metro stores have fewer items, and Omicron is creating empty shelves for supermarkets due to sick-outs.

  Also if you're planning on spending the voucher at Farmers check the website to see if a particular item is in stock. As Shore City doesn't have a lot of stores, If you can't find something good to buy then spend it on takeaways.

    They used to run similar promos but with less vouchers like 50 or 100, and they always run out within 24hrs. I don't think there will be any left by the weekend lol

        It's a bummer they didn't mention the time limit in the T&Cs. I expect the queue to be 25 deep already by 11:29am lol, especially on Fri or Sat.

    Ha, I expected that. I was going to go there this morning but changed my mind because of COVID. No way I'm going to go there just to find out that it's all gone.

      my wife arrived around 15 mins before 11:30. she was number 38/50 (they give you a little sticker)

  Third attempt to claim mine today - walked by at 10:30am and there were about 10 people milling about. Came back about 15 minutes later and the queue was already super long. Ended up being 41/50, and it took another hour of waiting before I got to the front of the queue and got my gift card (even though they opened the desk early, just after 11am).

  Note that even once you get your gift card, it isn't active until the next day (in case anyone was planning to purchase, claim, then redeem in the same day).

    it ended in on Tuesday. They probably ended it early because there was chaos on Tuesday.

      Since there was no mention of daily or time limits to redeem the voucher in the T&Cs, one could try and argue for a gift card with management, especially if you tried to redeem it in the first week but were unsuccessful. No guarantees of course.
