Hi,
I'm looking at making a decent purchase on some materials and placemakers look to be one of the only places that stock it. Has anyone got any tips on getting a trade card or discount of some sort?
Thanks,
David

Just ask for a discount!
If you are making a 'decent purchase' then they will likely still want the sale and may well offer you a discount.
Remember, Placemakers is geared towards the trade market. Their retail prices are heavily inflated to allow for 'discount off' so there is likely plenty of room to haggle.
You will get trade pricing discounts through the CSC buying group (in-store only).
Pm me, I have access to trade pricing.
Hi,
It wont let me PM you, it comes up with a message saying overseas user, however i am after the below which i cant seem to source at bunnings or would use my trade acc there

Even with a trade account, the discount at the trade desk is not much, you're better off buying from Bunnings. I used go to New Lynn, if you know someone inside the "office" (used to be by the trade desk), you can get a significantly larger discount than what you get at the trade desk. I gave up eventually because it's just too much hassle, and I never had to make any 'decent purchase', happy to just buy from Bunnings now…haha
