Recommendation for Long Term Parking/Shuttle Service at Auckland Airport

I will be traveling out of Auckland Airport for 4 weeks with family next month and am looking for long term parking option or shuttle service.

We are 2 adults & 2 kids and will have most likely 4 checked baggage and 4 hand bags.

What are the best/cheapest options out there ?

Public transport is not an option. Pickup is west auckland.

  • My partner and I use flyaway

Leave your car there and then they drop you off at the airport (and pick you up). Good to get there early because there can a van load (or two) of people waiting to hop on at times.

Don't know how they stack up pricewise vs. similar companies.

    • Thanks, that's my cheapest option so far. I have used them in the past. Was looking if there is something else out there.

Edit: it is coming at $155 for 31 days for me.

  • have you tried SuperShuttle? I did use them before with 4 adults with 4 checked baggage and 4 cabin bags when I left for 4 weeks.
Otherwise I did use Aeropark before for short/mid term parking but have heard their quality degraded overtime. .

    • I checked the pricing. I am getting $89 one way. So total is $178.

  • I used flypark many times pre pandemic (and a couple of times during it) - as in more than 20x - and always found them to be a good service and good value - its basically $5 a day in parking - i guess you can work out if that's a good deal for you . They all seem to be more or less the same price. As these guys are a little less known I find that a lot better where you dont have like 10 groups all waiting and then fighting over who rang the van first.

I always liked the flexibility of coming and going to my own schedule vs taxis and ubers - as well as not having to worry about car seats and baggage that doesnt fit etc or the shuttle running late and if you have a larger family then shuttles start to add up as the price is per person. If you go Uber - you get a Toyota echo turn up when you have 4 large bags etc.

    • Thanks. That's the reason for looking for long term parking. Flexibility. Uber is definitely not feasible with family of 4.

  • It's worth to check Auckland Airport's Park & Ride. However it comes up only when you select Domestic and not for International. It comes to $87 for one month when I checked. Also the buses is approx 15 mins and worked for me. They drop and pick you near domestic terminal. Used them in the past for about a week and worked great for me with 2 kids having car seat and stroller.

    • Thanks. Unfortunately need to go to international terminal, so if no buses there then no point. Still will check it out.
