Whoa… I loved Shenmue 1 and 2 on dreamcast. The hype for Shenmue 3 died cos of how long it took for them to release it, and when they did, it just felt like playing an old game that hasn't really evolved. Bit sad to see that it was hyped on kickstarter for years only demand to fizzle out.
I guess it was a good thing I didn't back the project; just had to wait 5 years.
Time to dust off the DREAMCAST
My two dreamcasts have problems - known issues with old age like the laser wearing out, or PSU, etc. These days I stick to emulation, and honestly, I prefer it because of the texture/resolution upscaling and full digital output.
Can't be assed pouring hundreds of dollars into a buying a framemeister/OSSC, DCHDMI, battery mod, GDEMU, PicoPSU etc etc.
Can I move boxes around and buy capsule toys in this one?
Are we sure this will be the game? People have gotten their hopes up before with speculation and been disappointed.
Has been confirmed by the mods over at Dealabs and the hint on the Epic Games website lines up with Shenmue III (forklift).
They know all but two of the games being offered.

Will you update this thread as each game is announced or do a separate deal for each? Just want to make sure I don't miss it. Last year JW Evolution was a great one to grab which my boy still plays. Cheers

Has anyone had trouble getting it to work this time?
I have tried multiple times from about 9am through to now, and I keep getting the following when I click 'Place Order':
'An error occurred while trying to process your request. Please check your network connection and try again.'
I have no network connection issues to anywhere else nor, in any obvious way, other than the above, to Epic.
I normally collect these free Epic game no trouble.

The server is under high load so it will take couple of tries.
Possibly, but seems unlikely to be the problem in and of itself.
I have never had this issue before, and it cannot be the first time their servers have been under high load, plus I have tried maybe ten times since about 9am - I suspect it to be something else, but no idea what (maybe it's personal!)
I'm not too concerned - the first one was not all that great, so I can give Part III a miss too :-)

Must have been an issue at my end - I just closed down everything, rebooted, and it worked first time after that.
