Samsung 980 dont have inbuilt DRAM and uses host PC RAM to allocate table but still a very good buy.

970 Evo plus is better than 980

Gen 4 drives tend to heat up little bit more so you may need to get a heat sink also (which may increase the cost a little bit more than 199)
