A Flybuys point is worth about 17 cents (on average, the spread is quite large). This works out to $1.36 per $50 spent ("every time you reach $25, you will earn one Flybuys") which is a 2.7% reward rate.
If for the purposes of this promo it triggers at $40 instead of $50, the reward would probably be 6 Flybuys which is worth about $1.
You can see why these points schemes exist — "4x Flybuys" sounds a lot better than "spend forty dollars, get one dollar."
