Hi, im just curious on how accurate the shipping times are for Apple. I'm looking at purchasing at taking advantage of student discount, but I need it ASAP and shipping times are saying around 3 weeks.
Local retailers websites are saying instore on Tuesday, so naturally I would have assumed they would be in stock for Apple NZ.
Wondering am I best to forfeit the discount and buy in store, or is there any chance that the shipping time is an error?

My partner buys a lot of Apple stuff from the offical website and I have noticed that the shipping estimates are pretty accurate, even during lockdown (purchased a couple of things for me in the past year). He ordered the MacBook Pro last week after the announcement and is expecting it this week, maybe that's when the stores are getting them as well? Probably best to purchase in-store if you need it ASAP
Apple website is usually pretty much bang on with their estimates in my experience. When the Airpods Pro came out a couple years ago, shipping estimates were up to 6 weeks so I ended up buying from JB HiFi in store. And all the iphones I've bought off them and ipads have all shipped on the date of their estimates
