Hmm, these seem to be not much more than a very expensive radio controlled toy. I can't see much educational value. You'd be a lot better off getting a Lego Mindstorms set.
It has programmability, in Scratch or Python, and from the reviews it looks like it's not a bad introduction to programming and robotics. Mindstorms is also excellent and a lot more flexible but I think it's discontinued, there is a new Lego thing called Spike Prime now which seems to be more aimed at schools. Anyway this is more of a cool, fast, stable platform where you can focus on the programming without having to worry about your robot falling apart. It will only ever be a robot car with a gun, but I see nothing wrong with that haha.

You can have little battles with two of them so this is actually kind of a shame. :)
