Do these come with NZ Supplier Declarations of Conformity (SDoC) ?

Good luck getting any real electrician to fit these. Most won't touch any Aliexpress junk.

    Chinese AC LED's are awesome!

When they're $2.50USD on AliExpress for 10W panel lights.

But 20% of the drivers will last a month, 60% of them will last a year, and the other 20% will last 2-5 years and they can't be replaced.

At ten bucks or more, buy from somewhere local, they may have sourced them from AliExpress, but then you're protected by the CGA, FTA and NZ Electrical Laws when they fail.

I replaced all the failed AliExpress LEDs at my father's house with $10 ones from these guys and they've been running like champs, with separate drivers:

    Specifically these ones:
    https://ledstuff.co.nz/economy-panel-light-8w-230v-round.htm…

PS: Despite what they say with their IP ratings, the AliExpress ones with built in drivers fail 10x faster in the kitchen because they absolutely cannot stand up to even a hint of humidity.

    • those downlights are very inefficient, 8w and only 500lm thats not even close to a light output of a 60w halogen bulb

    • if you select the absolute cheapest ones on offer from AE, then it is bound to fail soon.. Most of these ledstuff ones are sourced from "Chinese" factories and sold at a huge markup prices. The GU10s I bought from AE is still going strong after 1.5 years. Having said that the AE prices are increasing( plus GST these days, and long shipping times ) and local prices are coming down slightly. So the AE price advantage is kind of diminishing.
