There are also only 4 Taco Bell stores in NZ… and I'm not convinced that's a bad thing. ;)
So happy when Taco Bell opened here, because it tastes far closer to authentic mexican than our local NZ mexican fast food options.
I think it is the mince, rice, cheese, and beans. Local kiwi mexican chains often don't get these right.
There is also a Taco bell on the new section of SH1 between Hamilton and Auckland.
You mean authentic Mexican or authentic Tex-Mex or Mexican American? AFAIK Taco Bell is not generally considered particularly close to authentic Mexican. It's Tex-Mex or Mexican American. However I don't know if the NZ or Australian ones are even further or equally as far from authentic Mexican and also not that close to Tex-Mex, I guess Aussie or NZ inspire Mexican.

At New Lynn about 1900 there were no big queues although my order did take a while to be fulfilled. They were also doing a promotion where they would give a free taco if you filled out their survey today so you could get 2 total per person instead of one. Although since they took so long to fill my first order, my responses were just generic :-P
