McDonald’s® Competition Terms and Conditions – Beef Social Quiz
1. Instructions on how to enter this competition form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into this competition is deemed to be acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. If participants do not accept these Terms and Conditions any entry into this competition will be void and/ or, if applicable, any prize(s) will be forfeit.
2. The competition is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 and above, who are actually living in New Zealand, with the exception of employees of the Promoter, the Promoter’s agencies associated with this competition and including the agencies employees, and the immediate families of all such employees. Immediate families include spouses, grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren.
3. The competition commences on Wednesday 24 March 2021 at 8am and closes on Tuesday 6 April at 11:59pm (Competition Period). Entry is limited to one entry per person.
(a) In order to enter this competition you will need to complete the McDonald’s Beef Social Quiz on the McDonaldsNZ Facebook Page, screenshot the 100% completion slide of the quiz, and message McDonald’s NZ with a copy of the screenshot. No images that have been tampered with will be considered valid entries.
4. No entries will be accepted after the Competition Period closes. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter in accordance with the instructions of how to enter this competition and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
5. At Tuesday 6 April 11:59pm the competition will end. At Wednesday 7 April at 3pm one entrant will be randomly drawn to win one Big Mac Neon Sign and five entrant(s) will be drawn for two $10 McDonald’s Vouchers per entrant. The draw will be undertaken by FUSE. Refer to paragraph 6 for conditions.
6. Winner(s) will be randomly drawn at FUSE offices at 16 Normanby Road, Mt Eden, Auckland on Wednesday 7 April at 3pm. The winner(s) will win a prize(s) as described in paragraph 7 and will be notified by a response to their Facebook direct message given to the Promoter at the time of entering the competition.
7. Prize: A Big Mac Neon Sign or two $10 McDonald’s Vouchers. Each winner (total of six) can win only one (1) prize.
8. If a winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours of being announced and reasonable means of contact have been applied by the Promoter, the Promoter will redraw a winner.
9. Events may occur that render the Competition itself or the awarding of the prize impracticable or inappropriate due to unforeseen circumstances or reasons beyond the control of the Promoter or its prize supplier (if applicable). In this situation, the Promoter may at its discretion vary or amend the prize so as to provide a reasonable alternative.
10. A prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
11. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are late, misdirected or lost and takes no responsibility for any entries not lodged correctly or if winner(s) cannot be contacted due to incorrect personal details being provided.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of the winning entries. Tampering with the entry process or submitting an entry not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will disqualify the entry. Any entry with offensive or inappropriate content or language, including any emoji or any other symbol, (as determined in the sole discretion of the Promoter) will be void.
14. By entering into this competition, entrants agree that the Promoter may use the winner(s), and including persons accompanying prize winner(s), name(s), details, images including the original entry and, if applicable footage from the redemption of the prize(s), for promotional and media purposes without compensation and copyright of any such promotional material will be vested in the Promoter.
15. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, servers or providers, or any combination thereof. Nor is it responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or by any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to alter or alteration of entries.
16. Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, the Promoter, its employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this competition or with winning, redeeming or benefiting from a prize.
17. For the avoidance of doubt, paragraph 16 shall (without limitation) apply in the case of any loss, cost or damage incurred or suffered by any third party where such loss, cost or damage is caused by a winner or by any person in the company of a winner. If applicable, prize winner(s) and any person(s) who will accompany winner(s) will be required to sign an indemnity form as a condition of accepting a prize.

Entrants acknowledge and agree they are providing their information to McDonald’s Restaurants (New Zealand) Limited. The information provided in connection with this competition will be held and used for the purpose of this competition except as already provided in paragraph 14.
20. All entries become the property of the Promoter. To access or request correction of your personal information please contact McDonald’s Restaurants (New Zealand) Limited, 302 Great South Road, Greenlane, Auckland 1051.

(d) take any other action it may deem necessary;
in its sole discretion at any time with or without notice to participants in the Promotion.
