How to Redeem the promotional elements for the KFC Six & Shout Promotion:

When a ‘six’ is hit into the official KFC Zone during any one of the official 2020-2021 NZ Cricket T20 matches the ‘Six & Shout’ Promotion will be live. Anyone who is eligible to participate must say the code “Six & Shout” to staff in person at any participating KFC NZ Store to unlock the associated promotional KFC product for FREE. This product is only FREE when the winner purchases at least one other KFC menu items, the purchase must be at full price, limit of one free KFC product per customer per transaction. The free KFC product is not available with any other special offer or coupon.

Promotion Details

There are three promotional products to unlock and be released for free to KFC stores across New Zealand (‘Prize’). The free promotional product is only live from 8am the day after a six is hit into the KFC Zone and for a period of 24 hours from that time. The promotional products are not simultaneously unlocked – the official unlocked product will be whichever was the final unlocked item during the relevant T20 match.

First six (per T20 match) unlocks FREE KFC regular chips
Second six (per T20 match) unlocks FREE KFC three pack of Wicked Wings
Third six (per T20 match) unlocks FREE KFC Zinger Burger

The Promotion includes:

One of the unlocked items per person (customer) who uses the code “Six & Shout” to staff in person at any participating KFC NZ store. This product is only FREE when the winner purchases at least one other KFC menu items, the purchase must be at full price, limit of one free KFC product per customer per transaction. The free KFC product is not available with any other special offer or coupon.

Promotion Date Information

There will be 14 separate T20 matches at which the KFC Six & Shout prizes can be unlocked. Products are unlocked from 8am for 24 hours. The relevant T20 matches include:

BLACKCAPS v Australia 2nd T20, Thurs 25 Feb 21, University of Otago Oval Dunedin, 2.00pm
BLACKCAPS v Australia 3rd T20, Wed 3 March 21, Sky Stadium Wellington, 7.00pm
BLACKCAPS v Australia 4th T20, Fri 5 March 21, Eden Park Auckland, 7.00pm
BLACKCAPS v Australia 5th T20, Sun 7 March 21, Bay Oval Tauranga, 2.00pm
BLACKCAPS v Bangladesh 1st T20, Tues 23 March 21, McLean Park Napier, 7.00pm
BLACKCAPS v Bangladesh 2nd T20, Fri 26 March 21, Eden Park Auckland, 7.00pm
BLACKCAPS v Bangladesh 3rd T20, Sun 28 March 21, Seddon Park Hamilton, 2.00pm (the ‘Promotion Periods).

    As a precautionary measure please check your chicken wings or fried chicken before you eat because as per the recent incident, fly eggs was found on chicken piece.

      It's the law of large numbers, they sell a lot of chicken. Their quality systems and those of Tegel and Inghams are pretty sound.

      Similar thing happened years ago. That Karen later told the media she left her purchase to sit for 2 to 3 hours before consumption. Alot can happen in those hours.

      yeah they are confused

      So technically their sauce sachets are like 69c and would qualify as they are a menu item at full price.

    IMO best option is to buy a Magnum for $1 to get the deal. Magnum at $1 isn't a bad price in general even considering multipacks from Pak'n'save/Countdown. Technically it's advertised as an addon on their menu but it seems to work fine (both me and my mate at a different KFC) and I'm fairly sure you can just buy one by itself if you wanted to.

    BTW, at least at my KFC, bread roll on the kiosk is $1.49 not $1.00. Wicked Wing is $1.69 or maybe $1.89 at the kiosk but they couldn't find it in their system hence they suggested the Magnum. Also they ended up giving me 2 Zingers. (Was definitely my order number so I didn't query it. Wasn't sure they said 2 until I checked anyway.) Believe their staff got confused because the coupon says Zinger in the name then it has Zinger below it for what's included. Had that happen once before with something else so maybe some will get similarly lucky.

      Since it was still valid at 9.30pm decided to get another. Less success this time. They charged me $3.50 for the Magnum. Decided not to bother asking since still getting the Zinger. My mate tried to get 1 Wicked Wing (after me) but they said 3 was the minimum. Their kiosks definitely have 1 Wicked Wing for $1.80 but it's under sides. Not sure if that's part of the confusion or they just refuse/don't offer it at the counters.

      I assume it's going to be closed a few days? I mean the deep clean they generally do probably can be done in a day I think but can't imagine it's easy to find sufficient replacement staff since KFC isn't that big.

      Also wonder if anyone on Cheapies got the Wicked Wings deal on Tuesday and now needs to self-isolate

    Called KFC Papakura and they said the promo was still running and then I got to the drive through counter to order, and they said the Papakura store is not doing “six and shout” 😒

      Yeah that's not cool since you thought ahead to call and they confirmed, assume you did mention this to them? I always try to get names of people who I talk to on the phone as that can be very helpful. I would of mentioned the situation then told them I wasn't going to move my car until resolved. If they truly weren't participating then they should not of confirmed so the cost is on them.
