It's not just BK. Had a Wendy's deluxe cheeseburger on the weekend. The pattie was really small. But I didn't feel ripped off. It's a tough business and I'm sure they barely make any money off the burgers. The profit is with drinks and chips.
Maybe they have also moved into real estate like mcdonalds? Saw an interesting video about how mcdonalds isn't for the food it's actually the money they make off the rent.
