A very nice gesture from the Sikh Community.

Another 3600 bags of food items will be available to the public at Sri Kalgidhar Sahib, the Gurudwara owned and managed by the Supreme Sikh Society at 70 Takanini School Road, Takanini today, Sunday, May 10, 2020 from 3.30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Sound Solutions & Auto Electrical 113 Ellis Street Frankton Hamilton 3pm to 5pm

Anyone in need of food, irrespective of their religious beliefs can benefit from this noble gesture.

The Gurudwara has been designated as a food distribution centre by the Ministry of Health in terms of the Health Regulation Act promulgated to eliminate Covid-19.

Each bag contains milk, bread, vegetables, fruits and other items lasting up to four days.

    A really kind offer from these people. Hopefully only people who need it go.

    Sadly I have seen enough comments on Facebook groups and other places which suggest some people are treating it more like a cheapies deal, ie free food to be taken even if you have no need.

    Don't be those guys.

      Yeah, it’s not a deal at all. I’m not sure if people are voting to show their support for the scheme, or because they are getting free food when they most likely don’t need it.

      • Should've seen OzBargain when the firies deals hit. Most justified it as a way to increase visibility.
