    Hi,

    Is this a data-only SIM? There is no way to 'upgrade' it to handle SMS or voice calls later?

    Not a big deal really, since you could use data to 'SMS' or voice / video call through, say, Skype, WhatsApp, or whatever you like.

      Hi Alan,

      Unfortunately, this is a Data only SIM. You can't SMS with it/them either.

      But there is a cool outbound calling capability. It enables you to register your +64 mobile number and then make outbound VoIP calls that will then present this number to whoever you call. This feature charges each min of call as 10MB out of your Global Data Plan allowance.

      As you highlight, most of our customers use messaging Apps to make calls, but there are plenty of Apps that allow you rent phone numbers quite cheaply.
