New World one day sale this Wednesday. I don't really shop there but saw the ad. Highlighted some decent deals from what I normally see at Pak'n'save and Countdown below. There are more on the website.

      The watermelons in NW Hillcrest (Hamilton) were pretty small.

      They were sold out at NW Metro Wellington at 9am this morning.

      They were slightly smaller than a soccer ball at New World in WAIPUKURAU (HAWKES BAY) and they had a huge bin of them as of 10am

    New Lynn seems to have quite a few (both at the entrance and in the fruit section) and was still restocking as of 11 am. Size is a bit variable mine is about the size football (soccer ball) and weighs 3kg.

      That's kinda small, I got a 9.8kg watermelon last saturday at Chinese supermarkcet for $6.99
