Super tempted on this deal. do you mind if i ask, where did you stay? I'm looking at the accommodation, and it's going to end up costing us more than the flights at pretty much all the decent hotels
Ohana East - right in Waikiki - we went over NY's for 12 days which was an expensive time, this is a reasonable 3 star property - not amazing but more than good enough in a really great location 5mins walk to the beach in the middle of the action. Seemed like most of the people staying there were from NZ/AU as clearly we all like a bargain. Quite reasonably priced.
With flight prices like these , flights will be the cheap part! Food for a family of 4 , 3 meals a day for 12 days + taxes and my most hated tips - really adds up!
Not sure if you noticed, there is another deal posted with Hawaiian Airlines which is cheaper because of the baggage - we flew them and you get 2x bags per person which was awesome for all the cheap shopping, i would recommend them over AirNZ anyday.

@justaddwater: Mainly clothing and some household stuff. Places like Ross Dress for Less are incredibly cheap, even target or Walmart etc. Ross has endless branded stuff for very low prices even in Hawaii. We were getting Sketchers/Nike shoes for under $20, Calvin Klein jackets for $10 etc - I bought a whole bunch of under armour shirts etc for like $5 each - you just got to hunt for it.
@Meridian: I've been to Ross in Cali few years ago, based on these prices I think I overpaid lol.
I've heard Hawaii is very expensive place to live so I was wondering what you found cheap there lol
Thanks for the heads up, but I could only take leave in March so have to miss out on the Hawaiian airlines one. Looks like I missed out on this too because I thought the deal expired today /facepalm.

Really sweet deal for Hawaii.. just came back spent new years there and paid nearly 5k for 4 tickets (obv the time of the year) but just searched and would pay $1400 on this deal !
