      Hi Quasar. We can't guarantee that Amex might choose to introduce an annual fee at some time in the future. However, this product has boasted a $0 ongoing annual card fee since its introduction some years back (as opposed to a first year annual fee waiver).

      I've had one for a few years, $0 fee is standard, not a waiver, hopefully forever.
      It's a great card to have for AMEx presales, we don't use it for anything else. Also got 75 Airpoints when we signed up.

    So if the minimum gross income is above 35k, are we not allowed to apply? Or will it only nullify the $0 annual fee?

    Also, is the gross income assumed as annual?

      Hi there, you need to earn a pre-tax annual income of $35,000 or more to be eligible to apply, so earning an amount above this threshold won't preclude you. The card comes with a $0 annual fee for all approved applicants - this is standard, and not tied to income in any way. Hope that helps.
