70% off Zomato Gold Annual Pass $19.50, 8AM-9AM 14/6 @ Zomato - Auckland Only

80

Email campaign that went out at tonight stating Zomato Gold will be 70% off from 8am tomorrow for 1 hour.

Annual price is $65 so price should be $19.50.

Seems the sale might go for longer and each hour they’ll reduce the discount.

You can't post your own referral codes in the comments or post. The site has a system in place to give random members the referral (or the original poster), instead of favouring one person who posts their own one for personal gain.

    • Thanks. That’s cool. I’ve never actually noticed. Seems I can’t link it to Zomato.com because I uploaded a screenshot as there isn’t a campaign landing page. So not sure if the automatic referrals will work.

You need to edit your post and link to the site, and you can choose an alternate picture to upload. Or ask a mod to do it.

  • Does anyone know if you can use your gold membership overseas?

    • From the terms: xiii) can only be availed in the country where Zomato Gold membership has been purchased.

  • Someone who has this membership - do you think it's worth it? Do you find that lot of restaurants participate?

  • Seems to be active now. I just signed up and used one of the random referrals. Cost $17.10 for the year.

    • mine say $26

    • what code did you use to get it for 17

  • Does Zomato gold work in Wellington?

    • Ah looks like it is Auckland only, I will update the title sorry.

All I can say is this Zomato Gold thing isn't that great. A huge scam in my opinion since restaurants on the list can be removed any time.
I signed up the first round when it was available and some restaurants I wanted to use it on has either changed the Buy 1 get 1 free to buy 2 drinks and get 2 drinks or they removed themselves from Zomato Gold entirely.
If you buy these for specific restaurants that you visit often, then just be aware they can disappear from the list any time.
Otherwise if you eat out often enough and there were specific places that you wanted to try thats still on the list, then the price at the moment is not too bad.

Yeah, I can see how some places will use it temporarily to attract customers and then move off it in the hope they retain people. At the end of the day, at this price, just using it once will likely offset the cost.

Do you still use it much out of interest?

Nah, I've used it once for that restaurant I wanted to use it for since I go there often (main reason why I got it). It got removed shortly after along with another one I planned to go to. Was told buy the restaurant they don't do the buy 1 get 1 free deal from Zomato Gold the 2nd time I went there. I purchased it around $30-40 back then but at this price, you can probably get the cost back after 1 visit.

Just wanted to let people know that Zomato is able to change that list any time so for those who purchased it for a specific place they want to go to. Best to visit it as soon as possible before they remove it.

        • I totally agree with you Tomo. It's disappointing to see restaurants disappear. All the places that I liked had changed 1+1 food option to 2+2 drinks option. Frustrating.

  • mine one says $26 and then another 10%,

    how to get $19

  • ok so if you are wondering why it has gone up, on the page itself it says the earlier you get in the cheaper it is.
So I assume the price will continue to go higher

  • Theoretically it should decrease in discount by 10% every hour from 70% off.
I managed to get the $19 per year pre-referral code discount at 8:05.
I see scrappycoco's message was at 8:52 when it should still be be valid for $19 .. so not sure what happened there.

    • i have been trying to do it since 8:40 and then price has been $26

      • I managed to get mine at 7:46 so looks like their timing is inconsistent.

        • man… sneaky as Zomato.
