Accommodation in Auckland in June

I was interested in getting a good quality hotel in Auckland in June for a week and wondered if this forum is the right place to get options. Looking to get heads up on good price reduction for a 4 or 5 star place.
Appreciate any advice and my apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask this question.

    I can recommend you avoid the ibis budget in the CBD, it's cheap but horrible, only 2 star anyway.
