A few local businesses are offering free food.

  While I agree these are good ideas, I’m not sure about people on here ‘profiting’ from them by participating in the monthly prizes.

    Hi,

    I disagree that OP is intentionally trying to profit by posting this offer. Our monthly prizes are given to all kinds of deals that are voted up by the ChoiceCheapies community, and besides some basic rules (i.e. can only be won by someone current reside in NZ, cannot be won with a Store Rep post, etc) I do not wish to draw the line on what should or should not qualify for the prize.

    Amongst the moderators we have also discussed whether should just redirect the monthly prize money to the charity. In the end we decided that donation should be independent from our monthly comp, and here is our NZ$500 donation to the cause.
