Illustrated with photography and artwork, Ocean ,by Sarah Ell, explores New Zealand’s discovery, first by the seafaring Ma¯ori who travelled to these islands by waka, as well as through the Ma¯ori myths and legends that serve as our own creation stories and much more. Ell will be giving a free talk on her book today from 12.10pm to 1pm. Head to the ground floor of the National Library Building.
