This is very tricky.

So the location is near one of the 6 locations mentioned on their page. They also have a bunch of clues. Maybe need to plug in all the numbers into a GPS coordinate?

Here are what I think the clues are:

  • LAKE BRUNNER:

When it comes to rivers, lakes and streams there are more than 41 below, above and around Moana

Is it no. 8 wired to the back of a Lake Brunner trout?

  • Oparara Arches

Could it be deep in a cave at the Oparara Arches?

15 kilometres down a gravel road you’ll find an untamed paradise of rain forest, caves, moa bones, whiskey rivers and endless adventure.

  • Haast World Heritage

The beauty and wilderness is heightened by the backdrop of the Southern Alps, New Zealand’s highest mountain range with 19 peaks reaching three thousand meters or more.

  • PANCAKE ROCKS AND BLOWHOLES

A 17 minute stroll along the Dolomite Track will loop you around these stunning thirty million year old limestone structures that can launch sea water up to twenty meters in the air!

  • GLACIER COUNTRY

The Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers are 2 of the most accessible glaciers in the world.

I guessed -41.8150, 172.1900 but have no idea if that's right.

Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries in a 2km radius of the chosen coordinates

Let's hear some guesses.

  • Maybe 41°15'19.0"S 172°19'09.0"E (-41.255278, 172.319167) in Kahurangi NP? That's just using the numbers in italics in sequence. Also maybe 43°23'16.4"S 170°11'32.4"E (-43.387889, 170.192333) at Franz Josef, if the italics are a red herring. It's probably, an error but these co-ordinates are repeated as the location of every clue. Used that for my 2nd guess (after FB post).

  • For one guess I chose the coords that are repeated, like al rm said they may be a simple typo but for 10k I'd say possibly not. for my second guess I went 41°08'15.19"S 172°19'09.0"E (-41.137553, 172.319167) which is closer to the arches than al rm's as it takes into account the no. 8 wire clue. Only time will tell though I guess

    • Or the other thought I had had was if the coords were simply (-41.81519, 172.1909) but it looks a little to inland for me to call "close" to one of the mentioned locations
