I have this charger and the batteries. The batteries are great and retain their charge very well.
Good read. I guess the question is getting more cycles/longer cycles worth the added cost of a "smart charger". Each battery is supposed to do 2100 cycles and have a 65% retention after 5 years.
For me I charge each of my batteries maybe once every couple of months (due to the amount of batteries I have and usage). I guess if I charged my batteries on a regular basis then I'd consider a better charger but fair point.
