This summer of Cricket Burger King are running the Burger King® Whopper Six activation!

During the Blackcaps T20 games and the Burger King Super Smash games, if the boys hit a total of 9 sixes per game, you get a Whopper of a deal at BK!

When 9 'Whopper sixes are hit, you get a Whopper Jr. or Crispy Chicken Burger FREE when another is purchased.

But don’t forget to head to Burger King after the game, to get your second burger for FREE!

The deal is only available until 4pm the day after the game. Just ask for the deal in restaurant.

    Deal should be live today as there was 11 sixes hit at yesterdays game.
    Im at work so cannot go into to check.

    crispy chicken = $4.95
    coupon b for one crispy chicken = $3
    bogof = $2.475 each , so better deal unless you just want one, or want a stunner combo for $7 which includes crispy chicken, small fries, small drink, and sundae.

    whopper jr $5.40
    small fries $2.90
    coupon j for 2 whopper jr and 2 small fries = $7 (normally 16.60, save $9.60)
    bogof = $2.70 each. Save $5.40.
    Better savings with coupon j, unless you dont want 2 small fries for $1.60 more.

    Coupons expire 15th Jan , whereas the bogof goes till 19th Feb, but is not guaranteed to be available during that period.

      Yes deal is on now until 4pm tomorrow. From what i can tell they are not actively advertising in store. They are advertising during live coverage though. (commentators talk about it)

    First time I had a whopper Jr in 5 years, standards have dropped quite a lot! Even two for $5.50, I would rather have one cali burger at Carl's Jr. Try gonna my luck at that bogof code again soon.

    BTW does the deal actually start at the end of the game, or after 9 6s are scored? The details in the link are a bit ambiguous.

      In saying that there is a lot of crossover between games and the deal being on

        Yeah I read that, but it also says "When 9 'Whopper sixes are hit, you get a Whopper Jr. or Crispy Chicken Burger FREE when another is purchased" before that which makes it a bit ambigious to me. I guess the fact that the "after the game" part comes later may suggest these should be read together. I.E. You get BOGO when 9 sixes are hit, but only after the game.

        I asked a related question about what happens if 9 sixes are scored but the match is abandoned or a no result because of rain (or whatever) https://www.facebook.com/BurgerKingNZ/videos/101552193491711… and they said they would make exceptions but I don't know if this means the game is supposed to be completed, or they may put the deal on even if they don't get 9 sixes. I don't really care that much so will probably just leave it at that.

        (I actually wonder if they're actually bothering to activate and deactivate the deal in their system. It's possible it always works at least on days it could be valid, just that most people aren't going to try. Especially since it's not like they're promoting it on their Facebook everytime or whatever. I'm guessing they're not getting their in store staff to know whether it's on or not since that seems a recipe for disaster.)

    Had a minor problem with this today. Knew that Auckland VS Knights had 18 sixes (13 in the Knights over!) so went to the Lincoln Road store at about 3.50pm. Guy at counter claimed it ended yesterday. I said I'm pretty sure it should be on because of the 9 sixes and he said it ended at 4pm yesterday in this store. I explained a bit more it's every time they get 9 sixes until 4pm the next day so yes it ended 4pm yesterday for the Central Stags VS Otago game (well I didn't remember who was in it) but it was on again for the new game and so he went to get manager. They came back about 4 minutes later and she applied it, (mentioned it was nearly too late). I'd looked up the ACC page and score just in case in meantime, fortunately didn't need it. Would have been annoyed if they debated with me for 5 minutes then said it's too late now.

      Yea it really shouldnt be that hard. I suspect the marketing person didnt think about how easy the promo would be to be run in store.

      When I mentioned the promo, lady behind the counter did not know of it and asked the manager behind her. From the look on her face, she did not know the scores but was aware of the BK smash promo, gave me the benefit of the doubt and applied the bogof code in 10 seconds.
