  • Looking at local stores on pricespy they are $200 and above for the keyboard. If these are the same models then yea a good score. I don't know enough on why mechanical are better so will stick with my $10 warehouse model.

  • +1

Seems cheap but reviews don't seem very good.

  • Will have to wait till these are online proper tomorrow. After doing some quick research if these are the ones I was looking at they are top notch keyboards and mice(mouses?) I might have to get one to try it out. Good find thanks for posting.

  • Quality control on Razer keyboards are not that good.

  • Seems variable with more research reasonable keyboard with QC issues. Worth $59 , not worth >$100

    • But retailers want you to believe everything they special off for $59 is worth many times that. Due diligence goes a long way sometimes.

  • I have a razer blackwidow ultimate keyboard and a corsair K70 LUX RGB Keyboard.
The razer ones are more clicky sounding and annoyingly loud. They all run on razer's own mechanical switches.
The version in the post would probably be running on the same switch i would assume and the main thing is it doesnt have the number pad section. If that doesnt bother you, then for $59 it is a decent mechanical keyboard. So far the razer keyboard has no issues on my end and ive had it for 2 years.

In comparison the corsair ones run on cherry mx switches which i think is a lot nicer but then there is a huge price difference hence $59 for this keyboard is really good if your looking for an upgrade from a membrane switch keyboard. I paid around $200 back then for my razer keyboard.

  • It will be this one which is not backlit and contains Razer's own switches and no ten key.

Not too sure how good Razer's switches are but Cherry MX are the proven brand. Reasonable price for baby's first mechanical keyboard as even a bad one is better than a good membrane keyboard. If you're not using a mechanical right now, then it will be a large improvement, if you're using a mechanical now, it will probably be a step down.

I wouldn't compare it to an expensive mechanical keyboard, however.

  • Anyone see them in store?

  • This even a real deal?

Yep - saw them in JB Hifi Hamilton today - they had a stack of three.

Pretty heavy box (as you would expect with mechanical keys) but the lack of a number pad puts me off.

  • I wanted a 10 keyless one. Anyway had to go in store to get it and remembered I had a $20 JB gift card from some past screw up of theirs(didnt honor a price). Some of you probably got it as well ,search your emails. Not bad for $39

    • I was planning to use it to get the keyboard, but it's in-store only

      • show it to them in the store

        • I don't have a store nearby is what I meant :/

  • So these are in store only? Cant find any product online, well I can but full price.

    • looks like it, the online keyboard is the chroma v2 version.

Saw them in store. They are the 2014 version with Razer green switches. Original stickered price is $69.

    • Yeah saw the $69 older price tag underneath.

Heh, the cheapies investigation team on the case. Jolly good show.

      • Oh yeb. You won't see us lining up to buy a bottle of Lewis cream chocolate milk or that Kmart vacuum cleaner.
