Im staying in Christchurch CBD on Hereford St soon for a few days and I'm wondering if anyone here knows if there's cheap, or even better - free, all day parking around there. I don't mind walking a bit, preferably less than half an hour though.
Reason is because I will have a rental car with me, but I assume I won't be needing a car in the CBD and the accommodation I am staying at charges a lot for parking. I am hoping to be able to leave the car parked for about 2 full days (including over night).
Also, how safe is it to leave a car parked in the streets in CBD, in particular at night?
