Tianjin Airlines, a 4 star airline, are offering cheap direct flights to Chongqing. These flights include bags & food. No freebie hotel as it's a direct flight.
This is $7 cheaper than the last Chongqing flight deal. These flights are usually about double the price at other times.
Just hit the date function on Google Flights to see all of the cheap dates. Skyscanner is slightly cheaper.

I would like to go but don't want to drive to the Chinese embassy in Wellington, wait all day and pay $400 per person for a Visa.
Chongqing is one of the places NZ passport holders can stay up to 72 hours without a Visa but that's not long enough.
Years ago AirNZ used to sell empty seats a few weeks before the flight on sella.co.nz .
I got one of these cheap flights for two.
My Wife didn't want to go so I took another family member.
On calling AirNZ to organise payment I asked about Visa's, they said I didn't need one.
After doing research and calling the Chinese embassy I found out I did.
A trip to Wellington the next day, a long wait and $800 later I had a bit of paper glued into each passport.
If anyone knows a way around the $400 Visa please let me know as I'd like to take family there.
