    If you're ripping out the bare drives just keep in mind these contain SMR Archive drives and can suffer performance hits if being written to or updated constantly :)

Good deal. If going external I'd consider going for a 2.5" HDD for the ease of not having a separate power cable that needs to be plugged into the wall
