Join new mums and dads on free guided buggy walks in Wellington suburbs. Come and meet new friends, enjoy the fresh air and some exercise! Free coffee and muffin courtesy of PORSE.

  • 20 April 2017 - Scorching Bay - Historical Houses Road Walk
    Meet at the playground close to Scorch O Rama Café on top of Karaka Bay Road/start of Massey Road. Join a casual, low – medium intensity walk where walkers can admire the view of Scorching Bay and the historical houses situated alongside.

  • 18 May 2017 - Island Bay Walk
    Meet at the car park at the bottom of Houghton Bay Road and The Esplanade. This reasonably flat buggy friendly walk takes you along the Island Bay coast line with a chance to admire the stunning sea views.

  • 15 June 2017 - Worser Bay Walk
    Meet on the grass area beside Worser Bay Lifesaving club. It is a flat medium – paced walk which takes you along Worser Bay with its wonderful sea views. A Children’s playground is situated at half way point of the walk.

  • 20 July 2017 - Lyall Bay Walk
    Begins at Dorrie Leslie car park and takes you along Lyall Bay and back again. Enjoy a flat, buggy-friendly walk around this popular surf beach.

  • 17 August 2017 - Greta Point Walk
    The walk starts at Kilbirnie Recreation Centre. Enjoy a flay, buggy friendly stroll along Evans Bay Parade, walk is low-medium paced. Admire the stunning sea and yacht harbour view and watch aeroplanes take-off and land. We will be finishing our walk at the Aquatic Café/Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre (just next door to the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre) - if you want to have some additional fun in the water, bring your swimming togs too.

  • 21 September 2017 - Oriental Bay Parade Walk
    Meet on top of the Evans Bay Parade Road (start Oriental Parade) and park your car along the street. We will stroll along Oriental Parade which is a very popular walk for tourists and Wellingtonians at the same time. It is a flat and buggy friendly walk with stunning harbour and city views.

  • 19 October 2017 - Houghton Bay Walk
    Meet at Dorrie Leslie Park car park on Queens Drive. The walk takes you around Waitaha Cove and Houghton Bay with stunning sea views and finishes back at Dorrie Leslie Park. Enjoy a flat medium – paced walk along a buggy friendly surface.

  • 16 November 2017 - Owhiro Bay Walk
    Meet at the car park on top of Happy Valley Park. We will then stroll down to Owhiro Bay, enjoy great views along the Cook Street to the South Island. This is a reasonably flat walk with a slight incline walk back to the car park in Happy Valley.

  • 18 January 2018 - Breaker Bay Walk
    Meet at Wahine Memorial Park car park on Breaker Bay Road. Enjoy a flat medium-paced walk with stunning south coast sea views.

  • 15 February 2018 - Evans Bay Sculpture Walk
    We start at Kilbirnie Recreation Centre and stroll along Cobham Drive/Evans Bay (Road out to airport). Participants will be able to admire and learn about the wind sculptures on this flat, buggy friendly, low–medium paced walk. We will be finishing our walk at the Aquatic Café/Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre (just next door to the Kilbirnie Recreation Centre) - if you want to have some additional fun in the water, bring your swimming togs too.
