Ozito 2100W 254mm Double Bevel Slide Compound Mitre Saw $138 @ Bunnings

60

Going to attempt to build a dog kennel and while looking at Mitre Saws I came across this.

From what I can tell they are normally $255 (priceme)
At $138 I'll be picking one up as for a DIYer it's a sharp price! (esp when compared to the ryobi equivalent)
Admittedly Ozito is entry level but it does come with a 3 year warranty which Bunnings are known to be really good with.

  • Laser guide
  • Double bevel 0° to 45° left & right
  • Powerful 2100W motor
  • Adjustable depth of cut
  • Material clamp & support bars

  • I wonder what is different mechanically between this and say a $1300 Makita?

  • we use the older model for work (gets equivilent of diy use), have had it for ~5 years hasnt missed a beat, (ours) doesnt have the bells and whistles like a light and laser, but does the job fine. at the end of the day its the blade that does the cutting, so dont cheap out on that and you will be fine.
for this price i would love to get one for myself, but i have no projects at home to justify it on the go at the moment, unfortunately

    • If I was feeling rich this week, I would have bought one.

  • Isn't this the normal price?

  • I went into Bunnings Tower Junction yesterday to buy one of these. They were sold out and told me that all of NZ, only Dunedin had 4 in stock. They also said they didn't do back orders.

    • I wonder if theyre bringing in a new model to replace this one that's why they've been cut.
      - does suck though I was keen to get one of these myself.

    • Mt Roskill was out of stock, 3 on order. Said they will honor price when it comes in.

      • Shame that the Tower Junction staff didn't say the same to me. Looks like I'll have to wait to see if there's another good deal in the future. Not sure why Bunning's haven't jumped onto the online shopping bandwagon. Would've thought a big company like that would've by now, considering it's now 2017…

        • i was in taranaki this week, but rang my local store in Palmerston North, yesterday, they said they had no stock and had a few people on a waiting list and said they would honour price when they came in as well.
