  Is scott's cheap flight worth paying premium for?

  I'm on the lookout for a cheap flight to LA in mid july.

    I'm going to subscribe to it but basically Scott/his team use Google Flights with alerts for price drops. Probably has hundreds of these for routes around the world.

    However, for the NZ based deals, he linked to Grabaseat so he must also subscribe to all of the airline marketing emails. He's also using alerts through Skyscanner + Momondo and I would guess checking all the flight forums. So anyone could probably replicate this but it's a lot of emails and price tracking that its just easier to pay a few bucks to subscribe. I'm posting all of the NZ based deals he sends out so you aren't missing anything.

    As for LA in mid July, that's peak time. Going to be difficult finding a flight that isn't hugely expensive.

      There were flights to LA for $899 return flying direct via Qantas and American Airlines (code sharing) for mid july. The promotion ended a few weeks ago (and it ran for 3 weeks). I didn't buy them at the time because it's pending me getting San Diego Comic Con tickets first (which are extremely difficult to get as they are balloted).

      I'm hoping another LA flight promo will come up soon.
