  • Nice, was an available offer on both of my cards

  • Thanks OP.

Do you guys get notifications of these offers from the Amex app? The only way I know about them is when someone posts on Cheapies

It’s just a matter of checking the offers tab every now and again I believe.

    • I get emails from AMEX with these offers sometimes.

I just got the email for this one - although it was after I had already saved it to my card.

  • Redeemed the offer, no clue what is available at HN that's cheapie enough for me to justify the purchase. Will be searching for something though.

Might be worth holding onto this until Boxing Day…

Get them to price match other retailers.

      • Does HN have any kind of price match policy?

  • They rejected my application even though I meet the income requirement, any ideas why?

Maybe you had a poor credit rating? You can check yours online for free with Illion or centrix.

      • A friend of mine also got declined despite having a decent income. Not really sure how they determine which to approve or decline. AMEX did tell him to try again after a few months.

  • Thanks OP.

Has anyone tried purchasing a gift card before? And still getting the rebate?

    Thanks :)

    • Hmm, that might be possible! From my observations, Amex offers are based off the merchant that shows up in transaction list. So they can’t tell what you actually bought from HN

  • I haven't seen the HN offer, but I get see something similar for Smith and Caughey's.

  • Seems 5000 have already signed up wowee
