Foldable Walking Pad for compact office

Looking for a foldable type walking pad/treadmill for a small office room.

Something like this would be perfect- https://www.dicksmith.co.nz/dn/buy/fortis-walkingpad-foldabl…

Beating myself for being indecisive and missing out on a couple of local options recently on marketplace where these same ones were going for couple of hundy!!

  • As usual do research, some of the cheaper ones seem to have very narrow walking areas

    MA sells some too

    • Yes, keeping an eye on that one

  • Been looking for something like this as well, but apparently these tend to break easily. I think I saw some on Amazon for $350 when it was on sale, then add another $150~$200 for shipping and it's not that much cheaper.

There's also these ones for around $200 NZD (pre GST and shipping) on Taobao:

  • If you have the N3 discount etc for Torpedo7 then you can probably get approx $150 or so taken off the price of this one

    • I was hoping to find something that folds in half thus reducing the footprint even further. This one looks more robust than that MA and Dicksmith options though..

      • I can't speak to this exact model, but I know people who have bought the higher up models for running and are satisfied with the brand/product line as a whole hence posting as a slightly different but viable option.

        • Thats good to know. Do you have the T7 code that I can check how much it will cost to buy including shipping to Chch?

      • I have this torpedo7 one.
Its good for my needs, when not in use i lean on its side to reduce footprint, no isses as it still fits under the desk like that.
I can still sit in a chair next to it when its on its side.
I used free click and collect

  • Great, anyone have the T7 family or any other code?

  • Anyone knows can a walking pad be used on first floor and on carpet?

    • +1

Should be ok on regular carpet. If the carpet was unusually thick I think you'd have a problem. I guess also depends on the walking pad type.

  • Had this one for the office. Good to use in conjunction with a standing desk. Could fold away to a very COMPACT size - so good for my set-up.
Reviews are positive, but I note you can now buy cheaper options.

I would get a walking pad as an alternative to just sitting. However, if for exercise, get a proper treadmill.
